White Stripes Drummer Meg White Appears Onstage At A Raconteurs Show. Possible Seventh Album In The Works

Nearly a year after cancelling a fall 2007 White Stripes tour, Meg White appeared onstage at the encore of a Raconteurs show last weekend at the Fillmore in Detroit. The ill-fallen drummer was forced to briefly retire from the road last year, reportedly suffering from a case of acute anxiety.

While White did not join ex husband and former bandmate Jack in an encore with a White Stripes song, she reportedly emerged to sit behind Raconteurs drummer Patrick Keller's kit and tap around a bit before disappearing backstage after jack White shouted "Hey everybody, this is Meg White!"

There is currently no word on a White Stripes reunion, however Jack White did comment that the duo are back in the studio working on their seventh album. A tentative title and release date is as of yet out of sight.

The Raconteurs hit the road on April 20 of this year in support of their debut album, Consolers of the Lonely, and are set to wrap up that tour this weekend. For more information on the Raconteurs, visit theraconteurs.com
