Top 20 Rock Countdown - July 10, 2009

This week Top 20 Rock Countdown we say goodbye for now to Rev Theory and Theory of A Deadman, they have been knocked off the Top 20 by Chevelle with their single Jars and Sick Puppies with their single You’re Going Down. What makes this interesting is that Chevelle has been on the charts for only 2 weeks and last week they were at No. 30 and moved straight up to No. 17, another amazing jump into the Top 20. But as the saying goes “be nice to the ones you see on the way up to the top, because you see the same ones on your way down.” Chevelle is touring now in Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut check out their MySpace for tour dates. Sick Puppies new album hits the stores July 14, 2009; the title of the album is Tri-Polar. Sick Puppies single You’re Going Down is available now on iTunes and you can get it right from our website at www.netwavzradio.com Seether with Careless Whisper which in my opinion is a great cover dropped to No. 15 from 12, for some reason Seether never seems to hit that Top 5. Cage The Elephant moved up to No. 11 from 13, Green Day moved down one spot to No. 12 from 11 last week. Godsmack with only 4 weeks on the charts moved up a notch to No. 5 from 6, they ran past the bottom 10 and inching their way to the No. 2 spot, but Cavo is at No. 3 and I am sure will lead them off, this will be a close one. Shinedown with Sound of Madness is still holding onto their No. 2 spot but I have a feeling next two weeks they will drop down. Saving Abel is struggling they have been at the Top 5 but no cigar for No. 1 and I doubt they will. They moved down to No. 4 from 3 last week. Wow who moved up a notch this week could it be? Yes it is, that would be Nickelback with Burn It To The Ground coming in at No. 6 from 7 last week, come one Chad I am cheering on the sidelines for you, I know you will bring it in the top 5!!
