Peavy Electronics Owner and CEO Inducted Into Mississipi Innovators Hall of Fame
It started as a one-man operation in 1965 and has grown to be one of the largest corporations for instruments and audio equipment worldwide. Today, at the Telcom Center in Jackson MS, Peavy Electronics owner, founder and CEO Hartley Peavy is among the Mississippi Technology Alliance's inaugural inductees to it's Mississippi Innovators Hall of Fame.
Peavy Electronics manufactures some 2,000 products and holds 180 patents for musical instruments and audio equipment. The Meridian based company has a world-wide distribution, and equipment manufactured by Peavy Electronics may be found in over 5,000 venues, casinos, theme parks and other such places, including the Sydney Opera House and the U.S. Congress.
Artists known to use Peavy gear include Randy Armstrong of Red; Willie Adler and John Campbell of Lamb of God; Rob Arnold of Chimaira; Max Cavalera of Soulfly; Todd Harrell of 3 Doors Down; and Mike Kroeger of Nickleback, just to name a few.
In it's 43 years of production, Peavy Electronics and Hartley Peavy have won many accolades, including being a member of the Rock Walk of Fame, Vintage Guitars Hall of Fame and the Manufacturer's Lifetime Achievement Award from Guitar Player.
