Nickelback, Twilight Soundtrack Go Multi-Platinum
The RIAA has announced its Gold and Platinum certifications for the month of April. Most notably, Nickelback's latest album Dark Horse and the soundtrack to the hit film Twilight were both certified double-Platinum, each selling over two million copies at this point. Indestructible from Disturbed was also certified as a Platinum album. Among the month's new Gold albums were Feist's breakthrough record The Reminder, Theory Of A Deadman's latest Scars & Souvenirs and Thr33 Ringz by T-Pain.
The Master Ringtone certifications for the month included Rappers 2 Pistols and Birdman, each going Gold and Platinum for their respective singles, "She Got It" and "Pop Bottles."
The Killers' hit "Mr. Brightside," Kanye West's "Love Lockdown," "Paper Planes" from M.I.A. and "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolf all were certified as double Platinum digital singles in April. "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3 was certified as a digital Platinum single, while The Offspring's "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" was certified as a Gold single.
