As Summer departs and the colder months of Autumn and Winter approach, as you prepare for possible bad weather and breaking out the Winter woolies, one thing you can be assured of…Netwavz will keep the rock playing hot and hard to warm you up through those cold, chilly days and nights of Winter.
To date, 2008 has proven to be an amazing year for Rock music with so many new and fantastic albums hitting the airwaves. Disturbed brought out their new one, Indestructible, and it has proven to be a runaway success. So to the albums from Sevendust, Theory of a Deadman, Rev Theory, Slipknot, Staind and Black Stone Cherry to name a few.
September will be another monumental month in the music world with the much anticipated album from Metallica, ‘Death Magnetic’ due out on the 12th September. The two advance singles from this are already making major waves with the fans with ‘The Day That Never Comes’ crashing in to the Billboard Rock Charts at Number 7.
Also due out in September is the debut album from Brian ‘Head’ Welch entitled ‘ Save Me From Myself’. This will hit the stores on September 9th.
Trivium’s new album ‘ Shogun’ is due out on September 20th.
Before the year ends we should see new albums from Hinder, AC/DC and Cradle of Filth to name a few. We will keep you posted on upcoming albums in the coming months. With a bit of luck and many prayers we may even see the new album from Guns N Roses, ‘Chinese Democraty’, yes that’s right, the one we have been waiting more than ten years for!
We are currently accepting applications for DJs and encourage all of those of you who have thought about becoming a DJ to apply. Experience is not a requirement, enthusiasm is. We would also like to apologize to those of you who may have applied previously and not received a response from us. The link on our main website malfunctioned and the applications were never received so do please give it another try.
Our weekly Rock Video Face Off has been proving very popular and will continue in the weeks ahead. Please do take part by casting your vote every week for your favourite rock video and keep them in the running to be the 2008 Netwavz Rock Video of the Year.
While you are on the website don’t forget to sign up and become a member of our Station. Its free and only takes a few minutes. You will then be able to take part in the blogging and all the other informative things we have lined up for you. Don’t forget to tell your friends about us and get them tuned in. Perhaps send in a few requests to your favourite DJ while you read up on the sports news or movie news.
