White Stripes Drummer Meg White Appears Onstage At A Raconteurs Show. Possible Seventh Album In The Works

Nearly a year after cancelling a fall 2007 White Stripes tour, Meg White appeared onstage at the encore of a Raconteurs show last weekend at the Fillmore in Detroit. The ill-fallen drummer was forced to briefly retire from the road last year, reportedly suffering from a case of acute anxiety.

While White did not join ex husband and former bandmate Jack in an encore with a White Stripes song, she reportedly emerged to sit behind Raconteurs drummer Patrick Keller's kit and tap around a bit before disappearing backstage after jack White shouted "Hey everybody, this is Meg White!"

Candlebox's Original Lineup Back In Studio After 10 Years

After 10 long years spent without studio collaboration, the all-original lineup of Candlebox has regrouped in the recording room, this time laying down tracks for their forthcoming Into The Sun record.

The Seattle-based band came together in '91, during a time when grunge rock bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam pervaded the scene, and with their first studio release, hit the charts hard, singles "Change," "You" and "Far Behind" earning them spots on coveted tours that would effectively launch the band's career.

Stone Temple Pilots On Tour

Six years after Shangri-La Dee Da and a post-release break-up, the Stone Temple Pilots are back together and out on the road again, for a 65-date United States reunion tour. STP debuted in 1992 with Core; their second single "Plush" establishing them as a multi-platinum act. The band's second album, Purple was released in '94, with one of the record's singles, "Interstate Love Song" beating out the Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" for the record on top of Billboard's Album Rock Charts when it held on for an unprecedented 15 weeks.

IndependENTS Day '08 To Bring The World's Largest Auction of Indie Music

Independent's Day will take on a double meaning this year as the world's first ever global independent music celebration is scheduled to begin on 4th of July weekend.

The event will kick off in New Zealand, and with participation from 10 countries including the UK, Spain, Austria, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Italy, France and the United States, boasts to be the largest ever auction of independent music, rarities and memorabilia.

The 10-day ebay auction has been coordinated by the World Independent Network, with National Trade Organizations governing each countries activities.

Weezer's "Pork And Beans" Tops The Charts

Weezer's "Pork and Beans" off their forthcoming Red Album is holding strong to the number one spot on Bilboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks Chart. This year's first single marks the first chart topper Weezer has seen since 2005's "Perfect Situation" held that same position the charts in 2006.

Weezer first appeared on the charts in '94 wiht "Undone-The Sweater Song," and also produced such hits as "Say It Ain't So," "Buddy Holly," "Island In The Sun," "My Name Is Jonas," and "Hashpipe."
