AC/DC Extend 'Black Ice World Tour'

AC/DC Extend 'Black Ice World Tour' Into 2009
AC/DC extend their trek across North America by adding sixteen more shows to their Black Ice World Tour. Newly added dates begin on December 20, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and wrap up on January 31, 2009 in Nashville, TN. The tour kicks off on October 28, 2008 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

AC/DC Plan Huge World Tour Following Album Release

At a touring panel yesterday, their management announced that AC/DC are planning on embarking on a massive 18-month world tour starting in October. The trek will be in support of the Aussie hard rockers’ new album, the group’s first since 2000’s Stiff Upper Lip. The will be sold exclusively in the States at Wal-Mart, though it still lacks a definite release date. Expect the first single to be out some time next month.

New AC/DC Album To Be Wal-Mart Exclusive

AC/DC's next studio album will be exclusively sold at Wal-Mart stores in the United States, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The as-yet-untitled Columbia album, which, as previously reported, was produced by Brendan O'Brien, is expected in the fall.

AC/DC becomes the latest veteran act to pact exclusively with the retail giant, following Garth Brooks, the Eagles and Journey. The Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden," released last summer, has been an enormous success, having sold more than 2.98 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
