Guns N' Roses are to release material from their long-awaited new album Chinese Democracy on a video game, before the record goes on sale.

Lead singer Axl Rose and the band's label Geffen Records dispute over rights is delaying the album release
The song Shackler's Revenge will feature in the game Rock Band 2, which is to go on the market in September.

The album itself has been 14 years in the making and no date has yet been set for its release.

The Dark Knight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - the haunting score to the hotly anticipated feature film The Dark Knight - will be released by Warner Bros. Records on July 15, 2008, three days before the movie opens nationwide on July 18th.
Composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, who collaborated on the score for the 2005 blockbuster Batman Begins, were asked by director Christopher Nolan to work together again, scoring its follow-up, The Dark Knight.
The duo recorded the orchestral soundtrack for the film in London this April.

Multi-platinum band STAIND has announced the much-anticipated release of THE ILLUSION OF PROGRESS (Flip/Atlantic), available August 19. The first single, "Believe," hits radio and iTunes June 24. A worldwide summer tour kicks off July 4 in Muskegon, MI prior to band's joining the 3 Doors Down bill on July 9 in St. Louis, MO. STAIND will also tour internationally with Nickelback beginning September 8 in Cologne, Germany.
THE ILLUSION OF PROGRESS marks STAIND'S sixth studio album and is the follow-up to 2005's RIAA platinum-certified Chapter V.

Former Korn guitarist BRIAN "HEAD" WELCH is back to making music with his debut solo album, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, which will be released September 9 on Driven Music Group (distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group), the label he co-founded with music execs Greg Shanaberger and Mark Nawara. The first single, "Flush," will be serviced to radio the last week of June and will be available July 8 for purchase exclusively on iTunes. Fans can hear a portion of the track on Head's Myspace page.
