Armageddon, they say, will come from a ball of fire from the sky, through earthquakes shaken from the underworld, and from the agony that poverty and hunger will strike in the souls of man. While many brush off the thought of the end of the world as just another conspiracy theory, it’s hard not to wonder if it’s true.

McKagan: Velvet Revolver Close to Choosing Singer

Bassist Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver has shed more light on the band's search to replace former singer Scott Weiland. The group has held frequent auditions since shortly after Weiland made his exit in April 2008.

Oasis Prepares for China Shows

Trent Reznor appears to be working with veteran rockers Jane's Addiction on an upcoming album. The Nine Inch Nails mastermind has posted several photos on his blog that show various members of Jane's Addiction alongside him in the studio. Of course, the pictures have gotten fans buzzing about a new "Jane's" album, whose last effort came in 2003 with 'Strays'.
In one picture, Reznor appeared with producer Alan Moulder and Atticus Ross, NIN's longtime programmer. In the next, Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery is shown typing away at a lap top.

This year's Ozzfest has become the second music event this year to pack up shop, after Miami's Langerado festival canceled due to sluggish ticket sales. But Ozzy said he wants to work upcoming 10th album.
